Do you need a Health Coach?

Why a health coach? If you are well and healthy in all areas, then you may not need one. How many people do you know that fit in that category?

What I Do.

Health coaching as I do it, is a partnership between the two of us. I use a proven step-by-step process called co-active coaching. As a co-active coach I believe that you are:
  • creative

  • resourceful and whole

  • and have the answers within yourself to accomplish whatever you want to.
I work with people that want to move forward in achieving better health and more wellness. We work on things like weight loss, reducing stress, becoming more active, you know - going from couch potato to super spud, so too speak.

What You Do.

Your job in the coaching partnership is to be open to changing your behaviors and your thinking (these have gotten you where you are currently).

The more motivated you are the easier change will be. Motivation is also one of the areas I will support you in.

How We'll work.

By using your life experiences and targeted interview questions we will create a customized plan that fits your needs and schedule.

By incorporating the scientifically proven 6 stages of change that’s endorsed by the National Cancer Institute and using small action steps, you will be able to make permanent changes on issues that you've had no success with before.

My role as coach is to provide guidance, support, and resources, identify blocks, and generally help you do the things you know in your heart you should, but have never done.

The Power in the Coaching Relationship

To illustrate the most obvious benefit of having a health and wellness coach as your partner, look at this example.

Have you ever had a workout partner? If so, you know that when you are working out on a schedule with your partner, someone else is counting on you.

The day always comes when you would just as soon stay home and skip the workout. You know you have to show up to be accountable to your partner, so you do it. That same accountability to your health coach is key in making progress when you’d just as soon quit.
