Exercises that take you from Couch Potato to Super Spud!
When does a person “find” time to do exercises? Well, if you want to be and stay healthy ..... you “make time.” It is important to all aspects of your health. Here are some
exercising tips
to help you become more active today. You don’t have to spend large amounts of time and money to stay in shape and be healthy. Short workouts, three times a week will suffice if you are working out properly. You can do everything you need to in the comfort of your home.
Bodyweight Exercises
are my favorite for the following reasons: - they can be done anywhere and anytime
- they will strengthen your core
- they encourage a full range of motion
- you increase flexibility (loss of which makes you old)
- no equipment is necessary and
- most importantly you won't hurt yourself
This type workout will strengthen, tone and work your whole body. It will help put you on a healthy track, enabling you to lose inches,
burn fat,
feel better and become stronger.
Keeping your spine young and strong
Do not lose the flexibility in your back. if this happens, you won't feel or move like you did when you were younger. Bridging is an excellent way to keep your spine supple and strong. You can read about it at
Back Exercises.
This has enabled me to quit visiting the chiropractor after 15 years of adjustments.
The Easiest and Healthiest Activity I Know!
The Mini Trampoline or Rebounder is possibly the best all-round health promoting activity the majority of us can do and one that I am happy to recommend to my
coaching clients
because:- it takes almost no effort
- almost everyone can do it no matter how fit or unfit they are
- it can be done pretty much no matter how you feel
- I've used it when injured and it made me feel better
- it promotes the process of removing metabolic waste by cranking up your lymphatic system (like nothing else can)
You can get more information on this amazing and easy to use tool at
Mini Trampoline
REMEMBER ................ no matter what activities you chose
DON'T FORGET ........... to do them!
Bicycling
Bicycling has become one of my favorite ways to workout. It:- builds stamina and endurance
- relieves stress
- is low impact (more and more important as you get older :)
- is a great cardio exercise and
- it's fun!
A therapist, (physical - not mental) mentioned that this would be a superior exercise for rehabbing the leg muscles after an injury. Especially if the
bicycling
included riding uphill. Try it, you might love it.
